Current Position: PhD candidate and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Trainee studying Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Bioethics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.


Odia Kane (she/her) is a PhD candidate and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Trainee studying Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Bioethics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research interests include examining the social and ethical implications of health AI policy and the dynamics between digital healthcare innovation and race-related health disparities. Her most recent publication, “Applying the Ethical Data Practices Framework to Digital Therapeutics” in the American Journal of Bioethics serves as a glimpse into her dissertation project that seeks to explore how digital therapies can shape user understandings of health and healthiness.
