The Africana Studies Institute welcomes requests for co-sponsorship of events and programs that align with its core mission: to enlighten and inform the University of Connecticut community and the people of the State of Connecticut, the nation, and the world about the history, culture, contributions and experiences of people of African descent in the United States and abroad. The institute offers co-sponsorship for initiatives that are academic, intellectual, or cultural in nature. We encourage you to fill out the request form with as much detail as possible and to check the current event calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts.
