Aden Abbatemarco (she/her) completed her Master’s degree in Intersectional Indigeneity, Race, Ethnicity, and Politics at the University of Connecticut in 2023. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with minors in Human Rights and Africana Studies in 2021. She is a native of Mansfield, CT.

Over the years, Aden has been active as a student, instructor, and scholar. She is driven by a dedication to contemporary explorations of power, justice, and social relations. Her research has crossed disciplinary boundaries, exploring Political Science, Women’s, Gender, Sexuality Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, and Philosophy. Her research interests are Love as an Ethic, exploring the nature of race and gender, as well as practical explorations of disparities on the basis of gender and race. She hopes to collaboratively create pathways toward sustained coalition and purpose centered around love. She looks forward to continuing this work to further combat barriers to equitable solutions and connect with others along the way.
