Current position: MA student in Political Science at University of Michigan


Mason Holland graduated in 2023 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies. As an undergraduate student, Mason was an active member of the UConn community holding leadership positions in NAACP, UCCO, BROS and USG. In his role as student body president, Mason worked to advance the ABR Course Initiative, designed to mandate the ABR Course for all UConn students working towards graduating with a degree. Mason is currently pursuing his PhD in Political Science at the University of Michigan. His research interests are geared towards the study of Black politics, particularly Black political behavior. Mason plans to become a professor and serve as both a researcher and a mentor for young students of color.
